I often get asked when is a service like ours relevant for a Family Office. What is the size needed, before it’s not a waste of money? What is the price of our services?

Well it depends a little on the setup, do you have a investment adviser connected, do you have multiple custodians or managers, would you like to work active with your capital or is it more a passive investment? Do you have Direct Investments?

We have many possible setups and advisers which use our services. Also in all the years we have done Investment Administration, we have not seen two identical setup.

If the capital is between 1 m. EUR and 7 m. EUR investment administration costs matters. Some use us for the Investment Accounting or overview, but you should be active with the investment to get a fair coverage of the costs. On the other hand we are close to the end if you look at the key indicators and with Trump you never know whats going to happen. Therefore from our perspective it not so much about costs right now – it’s about value. Having an idea about the risk and the correlations in the portfolio. If you lose like 20% on only 1 m EUR – it’s 200.000 EUR!

To get a proper correlation you need many investment classes and for that a solution like ours. With a interest rate which is very low – the correlation to e.g. equities is not the same as from 10 or 20 years ago.
