Large Danish SFO selects PandaConnect. The client had already a infrastructure in place for investment reporting, but recognized a much lower operational risk in working with PandaConnect. In addition the CEO saw advantages for scalability when acquiring new asset classes and growing the SFO.

The SFO, which has a complex structure including a variety of asset classes and investments in multiple jurisdictions now has the best foundation for overview, for asset allocation across many different parameters – hereunder a much clearer overview of risk factors that threatens the growth ambitions.

In December 2018 and start of January 7 small single Family Offices chooses PandaConnect Group as their provider for Investment Administration.

What a 4th quarter 2018. The market went down, down and down like never seen before. All investment classes was negative except perhaps for currency and the Investors with Alternative Investments like Direct Investments, Infrastructure, properties etc. But even with that in mind the best Danish pension fund PensionDanmark had a total negative return on -2,4% for their market product with average risk and 20 years to pension or retirement.

Well established Scandinavian Multi Family Office (MFO) changes old routines.

Aiming for an institutional solution the client choose PandaConnect Group after a thorough due diligence and interviews with other clients of PandaConnect.

The MFO was looking for a platform both supporting their existing business as well as supporting their growth strategy. Consequently they sought a solution that could automate the bulk of the daily reconciliation and reporting tasks, while allowing seamless onboarding of future clients.

In the decision process It was necessary that the new setup helps the MFO in their digital transformation, offering their clients more transparent and timely information on their investments.

In the tender the University had described a number of very specific requirements.

The University wanted to achieve a uniform basis for Investment accounting and Investment reporting across their multi investment managers.

It was a prerequisite that the service they selected could provide the University in having a full specification of their investment costs. It was required that the solution supported the University in having a full risk profile on their investments as well as for the entire legal entity.

The University also asked for a solution giving them a high level of transparency and overview.

We should also help them ad hoc with investment meeting, board meeting etc. so they could get a better understanding of the managers reporting regarding the results of the investments seen from the past and future.

Implementation of all data including history had to be done within a month from the signing date, so they could use it for the year end reporting.

With a very clear goal and after a very good process together with the University all data was ready after 3 weeks and first General ledger for the whole year was ready on the 2nd. business day next month. This is very fast and only achievable because of the great work from both parties.

Hereafter we worked together on the management reporting, had meetings with the managers etc.

This is one of our best implementations.

England is a big country. Historically with many traditions.

England is not Denmark and the pension fund market is another.

But after having serving the Danish pension fund market for more than 20 years with securities administration, investment reporting, reporting to the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority, we have accumulated a lot of experience.

The Danish Financial Supervisory Authority has also increased focus and made great demands on the industry compared to other countries.

The English market is very difficult.

After many years in the English market, with countless due diligence  – we are getting a foothold.
